Cooking and Baking Classes
We feel the best way to promote health in wellness, is to teach you how to achieve it on your own. This fall, we will be offering a wide variety of classes and seminars for you to enjoy while learning how to improve your overall health right at home!
If you are interested in having us come to your place of employment to run wellness programs/seminars or would like to host a private class in our Café, please ask! We always try to accommodate!

Saturday November 8th
​
10:00 AM - Youth Taco Class
Participants will make their own taco shells and learn proper knife-handling skills and kitchen safety while making all the taco fixings! They will then enjoy the tacos they have made in the cafe! This class is approximately 2 hours long and is appropriate for ages 5+.
Please note participants under age 8 must come with a paying adult.

1:00 PM - Authentic Lasagna Making Class
At this class, participants will make a full traditional lasagna from scratch right down to the noodles! After we're done preparing our dish, guests will enjoy their lasagna with our house garden salad and house garlic bread in the Cafe. This class is approximately 2.5 hours and is appropriate for ages 14+. Alcohol can be purchased in the Cafe to enjoy with your meal!

Tuesday November 11th
​
6:30 PM - Charcuterie Board Creations
Guests will learn different styles of boards from cheeses, cured meats, vegetables, fruits and accents (including making your own candied nuts) to create the perfect board to show off at holiday parties! Each guest will create their own mini charcuterie platter to bring home.
This class is approximately 2 hours long and is appropriate for ages 10+.

Saturday November 22nd

9:00 AM - Youth Crepe Class
Kids will enjoy this fun class as they learn how to make traditional French Crepes. We will also make chocolate sauce and strawberry compote for them to enjoy with the crepes they create in class!
This class is approximately 2 hours long and is appropriate for ages 5+. Please note participants under age 8 must come with a paying adult.

12:00 PM - Gluten Free Workshop - Baking and Cooking
In this workshop we will cover a variety of baking topics including gluten free flours and recipes as well as cooking topics creating a variety of simple gluten free meals. Guests will enjoy a gluten free meal and dessert they made in class!
This class is approximately 3 hours long and is appropriate for ages 14+

Saturday December 6th
11:00 AM - Breadmaking Workshop
In this workshop John will discuss different styles of bread including ingredients, mixing styles and baking in your home kitchen.
Guests will bring home bread to enjoy with family!

Friday December 19th
6:00 PM - Holiday Cookie Baking Night
Get ready for flour, sugar and fun! This evening out gets everyone in that holiday spirit as we make 6 varieties of holiday cookies as a group. We will be making Peanut Butter Blossoms, Molasses cookies, Snickerdoodles, Chocolate Crinkle Cookies, M&M Candy Cookies, and Thumbprint Cookies. Each participant will come home with 3 dozen cookies. Guests will also enjoy Terra House pizza and salad throughout the night. This class is approximately 3 hours and is appropriate for ages 12+.

Saturday December 20th

11:00 AM - Youth Holiday Cooking Baking Class
At this class, your kiddos will be rolling and cutting out their own holiday-themed sugar cookies and gingerbread men. While these are baking, we will have pizza and veggies for them to enjoy. Afterwards they will decorate their cookies to bring home! This class is approximately 2 hours and is appropriate for ages 5+.

Saturday January 17th
​
1:00 PM - Youth Bread Making Class
At this class kids will learn about making dough, the importance of ingredients, and how to shape and bake their bread. They will learn a variety of different breads to make including sandwich loaves and rolls! They will get to take their own small loaf home to enjoy! This class is approximately 2 hours long and is appropriate for ages 5+. Please note participants under age 8 must come with a paying adult.

4:00 PM - Authentic Pasta Making Class
In this class, participants will learn 4 different styles of pasta-making we were taught during our time in Bologna, Italy. We will discuss ingredients, preserving pasta, and sauces as well! Guests will enjoy what we make in Cafe afterwards along with a garden salad and garlic bread on our house bread. This class is approximately 2.5 hours and is appropriate for ages 10+. Alcohol can be purchased in the Cafe to enjoy with your dinner!

​
6:30 - Pretzel Making Class
Participants will enjoy making their own dough, shaping and baking their own pretzels! While the dough is rising, we will also be making a cheese dipping sauce! This class is approximately 1.5 hours long and is appropriate for ages 5+. Please note, guests under age 8 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Saturday January 31st
​
10:00 AM - Gluten Free Biscuit and Scone Making Class
Come learn how to make gluten-free scones and biscuits! Participants will learn about the importance of using high quality ingredients, gluten free flour blends, as well as making their dough, cutting their scones and biscuits and baking them! While dough is chilling, we will make a fruit jam. Guests can enjoy their biscuits and scones with honey and jam and a cup of tea in the Cafe! This class is approximately 2.5 hours and is appropriate for ages 8+.
Please note we are not a celiac safe kitchen! The ovens we will be using for this event are also used for baking with wheat ingredients.

At this class, participants will learn to make fresh Mozzarella cheese and Greek yogurt! These are both simple processes that can easily be done at home! Guests will take home their own ball of cheese and container of yogurt. This class is approximately 2 hours long and is appropriate for ages 14+

Saturday February 28th
​
1:00 - Sourdough Bread Making Class
At this class, participants will learn how to make and maintain a sourdough starter, ideas on what to do with their discard, and how to make and bake sourdough bread. We will discuss the importance of ingredients and the nutritional benefits of long-fermented foods. Participants will each take their own starter and baguette home.
This class is approximately 2.5 hours and is appropriate for ages 12+.

4:00 - Artisan Pizza Making Class
Join us for one of our most popular classes! In this class, guest will learn how to make the perfect dough from the mixing to the kneading and shaping as well as the importance of using high quality ingredients and home equipment needed. Each guest will get to top and bake their own pizza to enjoy in our Cafe. This class is approximately 2.5 hours long and is appropriate for ages 12+.
Alcohol can be purchased in the Cafe to enjoy with dinner.

1:00 - Focaccia is Art
At this class, participants will learn how to make traditional Focaccia bread and create their own unique artistic design on their bread with a variety of herbs, vegetables and more to choose from! Guests will bring home a dough to bake at home and will also bake one in class to bring home! This class is approximately 2 hours long and is appropriate for ages 8+
